Newell Paper Mate 30 ct. Flair Pen Holiday Pack

Newell Brands wanted to showcase their Paper Mate Flair pens with a new, sustainable, and holiday-themed package that could also provide a second life to the consumer. My group and I molded our solution around the provided design pillars: a pack that is giftable, scalable, environmentally friendly, has proper organization/functionality, and provides a sensory experience. Our final prototype was a pentagonal prism with a triangular compartment for each of the five pen variations. A perforated cut transforms the pack into a desk cup for use after opening. Plastic was eliminated completely, instead utilizing E-flute for the main structure and paperboard for the insert.
